Can I live at Cloughey Holiday Village?
Although we are open for all year round holiday use, this does not make it a residential park. You will be asked to provide evidence of your permanent address.
When can I use my lodge?
You can use your lodge at any time of the year for holidays. The park has a twelve month licence. Adequate notice will be given if any situation arises where the park may have to close for any period.
What is the lease and how long does it last?
We issue you a new Holiday License Agreement that runs for a period of 125 years.
What are the lodges made from?
Our lodges are built from materials that will withstand the sea air and are clad in Vulcan cladding, a sustainable cedar/maple fibre which is engineered with resin, wax and alum. This ensures an all weather low maintenance material with a 25 year warranty. The walls are well insulated, making your beach lodge ideal for a winter retreat. Proper maintenance is of course essential. The lodges are built to British Standard 3632.
Who is responsible for maintenance?
It is in your interest to maintain your investment. We will be pleased to help organise any repairs and maintenance to your lodge on your behalf, or to put forward the names of local trades people.
To ensure that Cloughey Holiday Village remains an attractive holiday destination, all the holiday lodges must be kept in a good state of repair and condition.
What if I want a specific plot?
Plots will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis, and can be reserved for £500, so it is important to reserve the plot of your choice as early as possible. It is strongly advised to come and look at the location.
Are dogs allowed at Cloughey?
Yes, but whilst on the park they must be kept on a lead at all times.
What about car parking?
Each lodge has its own designated parking area right next to the lodge. There is a separate area close by should you have visitors.
Who looks after my lodge for me when I am not there?
One of the benefits of owning a lodge at Cloughey Holiday Village is that there will always be someone to keep an eye on it when you are not there. This means that if there are any problems that are apparent from the outside, we can inform you immediately and discuss an appropriate course of action.
What happens if I want to sell my lodge?
You can sell your lodge at any time this can either be organised through our sales office or on the open market. When a lodge is sold the Park Operator is entitled to charge a commission based on the sale value.
Do I have to pay insurance?
Yes. Your holiday lodge must be properly insured against all the usual risks including fire, flood, storm and third party liability.
Are there any Park Rules?
Yes. Cloughey Holiday Village is in an idyllic position. A set of Park Rules has been drawn up to outline the responsibilities of all lodge owners.
How much does a Beach Lodge cost?
The price you pay will depend largely on the site, size and specification you choose. Our lodges currently range from £145,000 to £180,000.
Will I be allowed to sublet my lodge?
Subletting will be allowed but will be organised through Cloughey holiday Village. We will be responsible for the advertising via our websites, and we will organise cleaning, bedding and changeovers. There is, however, absolutely no obligation to sublet.
